On September 10th, I got to perform this number live for the YMCA's MASKerade Gala/Auction to help raise money for the YMCA's community crisis fund (which is still open for donations until September 30th).
At the time, this song couldn't have resonated more with me. Not just because of the current state the world is in, but also because I was singing a song very prominently known for mental health awareness on #WorldSuicidePreventionDay (September 10th).
During these trying times, it's very important to make sure we're not ONLY reaching out and making sure others are taken care of, but making sure that we're taking care of ourselves too. Self-care is very important.
